Asana
Yoga postures — the third limb of Ashtanga Yoga for physical and mental stability.
Asana literally means "seat" — in Maharishi Patanjali's Yogasutras, it is defined as "Sthiram Sukham Asanam" (steady and comfortable posture). While commonly understood as physical exercises, the Rishis designed Asanas primarily to prepare the body for prolonged meditation. Each Asana works on specific Nadis (energy channels), Chakras (energy centers), and organ systems. In the Rishiyog tradition, Asanas are practiced with breath awareness and internal focus, not mere physical form.
