Abhyanga

Traditional Ayurvedic warm oil self-massage for health and longevity.

Abhyanga is the practice of massaging the entire body with warm medicated oil — one of the most important daily practices in Ayurvedic Dinacharya. The Rishis described Abhyanga as nourishing to all seven Dhatus (body tissues), calming to the nervous system, and essential for preventing aging. It is particularly balancing for Vata Dosha. Sesame oil (Tila Taila) is the most commonly used oil, though the choice varies based on Prakriti and season.
