Pranayama
The science of breath control — mastering Prana (life force) through the breath.
Pranayama (Prana = life force, Ayama = extension/control) is the fourth limb of Ashtanga Yoga. It involves systematic techniques to regulate the breath and thereby control Prana — the vital life force that sustains all living beings. The Rishis discovered that by controlling the breath, one can control the mind and access deeper states of consciousness. Key practices include Nadi Shodhana, Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, Ujjayi, Bhramari, Sheetali, and advanced Kumbhaka (retention) techniques.
